LED UART CONTROLLER

from $12.00

This led controller runs code written by Mitch Lustig.

It allows for vesc communication over UART. Led settings can be configured in vesc tool.

Features directional headlights and taillights, and status bar support.

IMPORTANT! READ CAREFULLY

This controller is not as simple to install as the WLED Controller. If you want the easiest installation purchase that instead.

This controller will use your UART port, and you will lose the option for external bluetooth or remote over UART by installing this.

The installed code will only work with this specific fork of Float Package 2.0. Click to download.

As I did not write the code for this, I cannot guarantee compatibility with any other package builds, or any future builds. As of now, it only works with this package version.

Requires 5v input via JST-PH connector. Do not power directly off vesc 5v rail, use a separte power supply.

5v must share a ground reference with the vesc, or it will not work. Compatible with my 5v power unit.

Intended for use with SK6812 Led strips. Your build may or may not require additional resistors on the signal line if you experience flickering. Your results may vary.

Use less than 50 pixels total for best performance.

If you wish to flash a different code, you will need a USB to TTL Converter. This one plugs directly into the pin headers on the controller.

Dimensions: 28x30mm

This project is open sourced. If you wish to build your own or modify the design, the easy eda project file is available here.
